James Yap and Bimby, his son with former wife Kris Aquino, will be able to reunite soon as the Makati Regional Trial Court has dumped the permanent protection order filed by Kris against the basketball player in behalf of their son.
Issued on May 21, 2013, the court decision allows James to continue his visitation rights to the 6-year-old.
However, the court granted the petition of the TV host for a protection against James, thus, he should stay at least 100 meters away from her.
But James’ lawyer Atty. Lorna Kapunan said it doesn’t matter anymore because the cager has already moved on.
Meanwhile, according to Kris’ lawyer Atty. Frank Chavez, they already filed an appeal on the denial of Bimby’s protection order as there are still issues that have to be resolved. But if the court still denied their appeal, they are okay with that provided their conditions are met.
“He will have to prove to be a father who will not inflict psychological, physical, emotional stress or strain on his son,” Chavez said.
On Tuesday, May 28, 2013, James posted a photo on Instagram showing him with his son. He captioned it with “Thank You Lord” which brought those who saw it to believe that he can now see Bimby.
Kapunan, however, said that it was an old photo as James and Bimby has not seen each other yet since the controversial protection order was filed.
