Pilipinas Got Talent 4 first batch of semi-finalists

Three acts from the first six will get through to the finals and it will all depend on the text and online votes they will get, and of course, the judges.

Chaeremon Basa was the first to perform. The 16-year-old flairtender from Bacolod City wowed the judges and the audience with his skills. No bottle was dropped and his routine was even more complicated. Billy even said that he will go to whichever bar Chaeremon will work for in the future. He got a standing ovation from the judges. Kris Aquino said he “made flairtending a real showstopper… Hindi ka lang lumevel-up, lumevel grand finals ka.” Ai-Ai delas Alas described him as the “epitome ng small but terrible.” Freddie M. Garcia called his routine “a total show… nakakagulat.”

Tito Cris Castro amazed everyone with his “quick change” tricks. The 54-year-old magician from Sampaloc, Manila did his usual routine of changing into different costumes in a blink of an eye. Kris: “Nakaka-impress ang na-achieve mo ngayon.” Ai-Ai: “Talagang pang-semi-finals ang ginawa mo ngayon.” FMG: “Ikaw ang pinakamagaling sa magic.”

MP3 Band from Davao City left the audience in awe with their medley of Bahay Kubo and ‘Di Bale Na Lang, some freestyle rap and their superb guitar skills. Kris, however, was confused why they started with Bahay Kubo and ended up with ‘Di Bale Na Lang. Ai-Ai said their performance was less than what she expected they would do for the semi-finals. FMG liked their interpretation of the Gary V song and commended them for their musicality.

The twin dance group Symmetry, also from Davao, was so fun to watch with their mirror dance routine. They all looked good on television and they added the use of video towards the end. Kris: “What I can commend you about is lalong gumaling ang pagsayaw ninyo.” Ai-Ai: “Ang cute ng ginawa n’yo, ‘yong video.” FMG: “You did very well. Galing n’yo.”

YouTube sensation Roel Manlangit exhibited his vocal abilities with the song Habang May Buhay. Kris: “You have star quality… Ako talaga sobrang nabilib sa kakayahan mo.” Ai-Ai: “Ikaw ay nagbigay sa amin ng inspirasyon na ang happiness is a decision.” FMG: “Confidence level, ang galing. Stage presence, ang galing. Boses; mataas na nota, magaling. Kaya lang nung nag-uumpisa ka hindi ko maintindihan ang sinasabi mo… Pero nakabawi ka, towards the end you did extremely well.”

Zilent Overload from Pasig City did a very colorful black light dance routine. They got a standing ovation from all three judges. Ai-Ai said they were fabulous, amazing, phenomenal and pang-Las Vegas. Kris said her admiration for the group tripled. FMG agreed with the other two judges and said they were really great.
