TV5 has just released a statement over Willie Revillame’s retirement which the game show host made public via the Tuesday (May 21) episode of Wowowillie.
On TV5’s official Twitter account, the network said they respect Revillame’s decision and in fact wish him well in his plans.
The two-part tweet read: “TV5 Statement on Mr. Willie Revillame: We respect the decision of Mr. Willie Revillame to retire upon the expiry of his contract with TV5. We wish him well in his new pursuits.”
Willie earlier announced that he has already told TV5 of his decision through a letter last May 17. The network accepted his decision, he said.
According to him, his contract will expire on October 15, a Tuesday, so the last episode of Wowowillie will probably be on October 12 which is a Saturday.
Here’s what Willie said over the Tuesday episode of Wowowillie regarding his decision:
Ang last day of my contract ay October 15. Maybe October 12 will be the last show ng Wowowillie.
