Vice Ganda spoofed Willie Revillame by interrupting the “Sine Mo ‘To” segment of It’s Showtime to throw lines that the Wowowillie host said during his controversial tirade last Thursday.

Vice Ganda

Willie “cut” a segment of his show to lambast Ethel Booba and Ate Gay live on national television. It drew flack from televiewers and netizens because Willie could have done that behind the camera and he didn’t have to humiliate Ethel and Ate Gay in front of the whole country.

Willie Revillame

First up was Willie Revillame’s recent live announcement that will be leaving his weeknight game show Wil Time Bigtime early in January 2013. Many hinted that it was just a gimmick of sorts, because he wouldn’t be announcing such a thing in such a manner on live TV if that was indeed true.

"Willing Willie" to Return With a Bang

All the while we thought Willie Revillame is already retiring from television after the Jan-Jan episode of his show, Willing Willie, received some serious bashing not only from his critics but from government agencies as well.

But I guess it's just wishful thinking. On TV5's Paparazzi yesterday, Willie's co-host Shalani Soledad shared some info regarding the return of Willing Willie including a LED dancefloor that's a first on Philippine television.

"Willing Willie" Goes Off Air

Willing Willie will be off the air for two weeks starting Monday, April 11, 2011. But is the TV5 show coming back on air? Willie Revillame said he will think about it over the Holy Week and will give an announcement after that.

Willie's decision to take a break from television was brought about by several institutions, celebrities, and netizens condemning the Jan-Jan episode of his tv show last March 12, 2011. It also caused several advertisers to pull out sponsorship from the show.

He gave a very long speech on his show last night, clearing his name of the allegations against him, going back to his ABS-CBN days and the several Wowowee incidents including the controversial stampede that caused the death of 71 people.

He also mentioned the names of celebrities who bashed him on Twitter including Jim Paredes, Lea Salonga, Aiza Seguerra, Agot Isidro, et. al.

In his speech, Willie told Aiza that she should know about child abuse because she started working in show business as a little kid.
