Willie Revillame's TV5 game show Wil Time Bigtime aired its final episode on Friday night, January 5th, but the host will only say goodbye temporarily.
A new show titled WowoWillie will premiere on January 26th and will put the host back to noontime television.
Before he transferred to TV5, he hosted Wowowee on ABS-CBN. The title of the new show sounds a bit like the old one, though, and I hope it doesn't give the Kapatid Network a problem.
WowoWillie's timeslot will be from 11:30pm to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, thirty minutes earlier than its would-be rival shows - GMA-7's Eat Bulaga! and ABS-CBN's It's Showtime. The latter used to air at 11:30am, too, but was moved to 12 noon when MasterChef Pinoy Edition started airing.
With Willie's return to noontime TV, does it mean he'd have word wars again with Eat Bulaga! host Joey de Leon? Would he eventually have word wars, too, with Vice Ganda and with the other hosts of the Kapamilya show?
Meanwhile, here's what Willie said on Friday:
"Salamat sa inyong lahat na nagmamahal sa aming programa, thank you so much. Itong last day natin, simula palang ito ng bagong programa.
