The Department of Tourism has unveiled a new Valentine’s Day campaign aimed at tourists who are looking for a place to spend the love month at with their significant others.
When asked by Headstart host Karen Davilla if Valentine’s Day is really a major market for tourists, the department’s secretary Ramon Jimenez explained that is, considering that tourists usually arrive as couples.
The new campaign is titled “Lovers.” It is about a man proposing marriage to his girlfriend using four boats with the words “Will You Marry Me?” written on their colorful sails.
What woman wouldn’t say yes to such a romantic idea, anyway?
As the couple embrace, the catchphrase “Popping the question. More fun in the Philippines” comes up on the screen.
