Sarah Geronimo wants a sitcom for her next TV project

Popstar Sarah Geronimo said if given the chance, she would choose a sitcom over a teleserye for her next television show.

A new TV project is included in the recent contract she signed with ABS-CBN. When asked what she wants for her next TV show, she said she wants to try something she has never done before.

“I want to try something new so if given the chance, I’d pick sitcom,” Sarah said.

She also named John Lloyd Cruz as the one she wants to work in the sitcom with because he makes everyone in the set comfortable.

“Lloydie is very easy to work with because he’s not only a good actor; he’s also a nice and caring person,” she said in an interview. “He always tries his best to make people around him comfortable.”

But if she wanted to try comedy on television, it’s different when it comes to her future movies because she wanted to shy away from romantic comedies and try more serious roles.

“Hopefully in the next films, I’ll be able to show a more mature and serious Sarah.”

Sarah topbills the upcoming It Takes A Man And A Woman with John Lloyd Cruz. It is the third and final installment to the love story of Laida (Sarah) and Miggy (John Lloyd) which we loved in the first two films - A Very Special Love and You Changed My Life. Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, it is set to open in theaters on March 30.

Could it be the last romantic comedy movie of Sarah?
