ABS-CBN’s longest-running gag show Goin’ Bulilit is already 8 years old! And to celebrate the anniversary, the show will be visited this Sunday by graduates of the show including Julia Montes, Kathryn Bernardo, Ella Cruz and Miles Ocampo.
They will join the current bulilit kids in the segments like ‘Ang Corny,’ ‘Sigaw Family,’ and ‘Ooh Eww.’
To celebrate the show’s 8th anniversary, a new segment will also be introduced on Sunday. Called ‘Cute and A,’ the kids will interview celebrities and personalities for the segment, like MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino who will be this Sunday’s guest.
When asked what made the show last this long, Sherwin Buenvenida, head writer of the gag show, said part of the success is the format. “It’s comparable to Saturday Night Live where the cast is constantly changing. We also try to infuse current events and issues to our segments and gags,” he said.
Meanwhile, creative manager Ricky Victoria believed that it’s more fun and lively when kids deliver the jokes.
