The charges filed by Mon Tulfo against Claudine Barretto have been dismissed by the Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office due to lack of probable cause.
Claudine faced grave coercion, attempted homicide and oral defamation charges after the much-publicized NAIA incident in May last year.
According to the resolution written by Teresita B. Punzuelo, grave coercion was dismissed because the actress “did not participate in any way in hitting or inflicting injury against Tulfo” and that “it was only after she was physically hurt that she reacted, in a way to defend herself.”
Attempted homicide, meanwhile, was dropped because it wasn’t believable that she attempted to kill Tulfo.
Oral defamation, on the other hand, lacked proof as Tulfo “failed to submit evidence to prove that remarks were made and heard” thus, it was also dismissed.
Claudine’s husband, Raymart Santiago, and their friend Eduardo Atilano, who were both seen in the brawl video, were indicted for slight physical injuries.
