Daniel Padilla’s Team Gino won the Princess And I Royal Championship held on Sunday, January 20, at the Mall of Asia Arena. The game ended with the score of 100-94.
The event was a tiebreaker in the basketball game between Enrique Gil’s Team Jao, which won in the first game, and Team Gino, which won in the second.
And just like a drama on primetime, the match didn’t end without a “suspense.” On the last few seconds of the game, Daniel had a minor accident. Professional basketball player Bobby Parks accidentally elbowed him in the jaw causing him to spit blood.
The series of events was the show’s treat to fans for their support and for making it one of the most-watched primetime shows nationwide.
Princess And I, however, is down to its last two weeks. It will air its last episode on February 1, 2013.
The Royal Championship will be aired on Jan. 27 on ABS-CBN’s Sunday's Best, before the series’ last week.
