"Wowowin" will temporarily go off-air this May 2016, as announced by host Willie Revillame.
The April 29 episode of the game show will be its last before it is put in a hiatus for two weeks.
In a report by GMA-7's evening news, "24 Oras," it was revealed that Willie asked the network for a two-week leave so he could rest and attend to some health issues.
The actor-TV host also said that the hiatus of "Wowowin" during the election season could prove beneficial to the network as it could use its studio for the election coverage.
Meanwhile, he assured the fans of the show that "Wowowin" will definitely be back.
"Sa ating mga kababayan at Kapuso, hindi po mawawala ang Wowowin. Magpapahinga lang po ito nang two weeks. Itong Friday na ito ang last episode ko for this month," he said.
The game show will be back on May 16, and because it's their anniversary month, expect more exciting games and bigger prizes, plus a more "pang-VIP" studio.
