‘Wowowillie’ to come back in 2014

Willie Revillame is reviving his game show, Wowowillie, early next year.

The said game show aired its last episode on October 12, 2013 on TV5 which had been the host’s home for the past three years.

The news about the comeback of the game show was revealed to pep.ph by Willie himself when the entertainment website was able to talk to him in Macau last Sunday at the Pacquiao-Rios boxing match.

According to the 52-year-old host, he will just take a vacation now that the show is off air, and then start planning for its comeback early 2014.

He will be looking for a new home network, and prioritize the ones with wider reach.

“Siyempre pag-aaralan kong mabuti… kung saan mas maraming makakapanood sa programa kong gustong gawin,” he told pep.ph.

The country only has three major TV networks and he has already been in two of them - ABS-CBN and TV5. The only one left is GMA-7 but the network already has TAPE, Inc.’s Eat Bulaga!

However, Willie said he’s okay with any network. What’s important is that he can bring joy to the televiewers and be able to help those in need.

“Kahit saan naman puwede,” he said. “Basta maganda yung programa… basta maganda yung project… basta makakapagbigay ng saya araw-araw at makakatulong yun ang importante.”
