Kapamilya actress Beauty Gonzales was arrested at the Batangas port on Monday for allegedly helping his brother, Michael Ryan, escape from prison.
Michael Ryan was detained last week in Calapan City, Mindoro for an alleged human trafficking. He was caught leading 42 people, 4 minors included, from Caticlan to work without necessary permits in Cagayan de Oro as sugar cane plantation workers.
Beauty, 22, who visited her brother in Calapan was able to convince the police to allow her brother to get out of the detention cell to buy something. The then took off in a car that was driven by another man.
The three were caught at the Batangas port while trying to escape.
Beauty and the driver are now charged with obstruction of justice.
Beauty was recently seen as Edna in the Kapamilya Network’s primetime series, Maria Mercedes.
