‘Dyesebel’ gets a teaser, to air on ABS-CBN in 2014

Dyesebel is the next Mars Ravelo graphic novel that ABS-CBN will give life to as revealed in the recent teaser released by the network.

According to the teaser, Dyesebel will hit television in 2014.

The rights to remake 13 Mars Ravelo titles have been acquired by the Kapamilya Network, and the classic mermaid story was one of them.

Before the news about Dyesebel, however, it was confirmed that Angel Locsin will do the role of the superheroine in Star Cinema’s movie adaptation of Darna, the most popular character in Ravelo’s creations. She first did the role on television back when she was still with GMA-7.

Before Angel’s name was confirmed, though, a long guessing game happened among showbiz fans. And I think the same will happen with Dyesebel.

Among the fan favorites for the role include KC Concepcion and Anne Curtis. Will the role eventually go to either one of them?
