Marian Rivera to attend 18th Asian Television Awards (2013) ceremony

Marian Rivera is attending the 18th Asian Television Awards (2013) ceremony at Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore this December. She is nominated in the Best Actress category for her role in the Philippine adaptation of Temptation Of Wife.

Marian said she’s attending the awards night without expecting anything. She’s just in for the experience. It doesn’t matter if she wins or not.

“Pupunta ako doon para i-experience kung paano ba maranasan… kung ano ang Asian TV Awards. Pupunta ako doon na wala akong iisipin. Alam mo yun? Basta, gusto ko lang pumunta para maranasan. Matalo, manalo, ang importante, nominado,” she was quoted by pep.ph as saying.

The Kapuso actress recently won her first acting award at the PMPC Star Awards for Television last Sunday for the same TV series.

Her fans are hoping for a second win but for Marian, she’s already a winner just by being nominated.

“Ma-nominate ka lang ay malaking karangalan na bilang isang artista,” she said. “Alam naman natin na napakaraming artista at depende sa ginagawa mo, doon ka nano-nominado… Yung mga na-nominate, matalo man o manalo, para sa amin, panalo kami.”

Her boyfriend, Dingdong Dantes, is not going to escort her at the Asian TV Awards because of work.

“May taping siya, e. Ako lang,” Marian said when asked if Dingdong is going with her.

Dingdong himself got nominated in the Best Actor category of Asian TV Awards in 2010 for his role in Stairway To Heaven.

Meanwhile, Marian is competing in the Best Actress category with fellow Filipino actress Lorna Tolentino who got nominated for her role in GMA-7’s Pahiram Ng Sandali.

Other nominees from the Philippines also include Michael V in the Best Comedy Actor category for Bubble Gang (GMA-7); Saksi (GMA-7) and 24 Oras (GMA-7) in Best News Programme; Reporter’s Notebook (GMA-7) in Best Current Affairs Programme; Born Impact (GMA-7) for Best Natural History Or Wildlife Programme; The X Factor Philippines (ABS-CBN) in Best Reality Show; and Kris Aquino in the Best Entertainment Presenter/Host category for Kris TV (ABS-CBN).
