Mister International 2013 is Venezuela, Philippines is 4th runner-up

Jose Anmer Paredes of Venezuela was crowned Mister International 2013 during the ceremony that was held on Thursday, November 21, at the Skenoo Hall, Gandaria City Mall, in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The 6-foot tall 28 year-old from Guasdualito bested 37 other equally good looking contestants from around the globe. He succeeded last year’s winner, Lebanon’s Ali Hammoud.

Aside from the title, Paredes also won the L-Men Ideal Body special award.

The contestants went through four stages of the international pageant - the National Costume, Beach Wear, Formal Wear, and Interview.

Home contestant, Indonesia’s Albern Sultan, was named 1st runner-up, aside from bagging the Mister Photogenic special award.

2nd runner-up was Brazil’s Jhon Marko, 3rd runner-up was Mexico’s Hans Briseno, 4th runner-up was the Philippines’ very own Gil Wagas, and 5th runner-up was Czech Republic’s Antonin Beranek.

Other winners of special awards were Panama’s Sergio Isaac Lopes who was awarded Best in National Costume, and the USA’s Jeremy Wyatt Akin who got the Mister Congeniality award.

Those who made it in the Top 10 also include Slovak Republic - Michal Gajdosech; China - Haolong Tan; Colombia - Mario Lora; and Singapore - Edwin Heng.

Completing the Top 16 were Costa Rica - Israel Moya; Turkey - Ufuk Deger; Slovenia - Jure Rugani; Canada - Kristian Denver Diaz; Italy - Marco Della Croce; and Chile - Pablo Alcayaga.
