The second semi-finals performance night of Pilipinas Got Talent 4 was held on Saturday, May 25, 2013, at the PAGCOR Grand Theater in ParaƱaque City. The last 6 semi-finalists performed in front of judges Kris Aquino, Ai-Ai delas Alas and Freddie M. Garcia for a chance to be included in the finals.
The first three grand finalists were named last week and another three will be chosen on Sunday based on their performances Saturday night.
The Miss Tres was the first to perform. The transgender group of three from Marilao, Bulacan sang and danced to Sway and it’s quite fun to watch them with their very feminine looks while they sing with their masculine voices. Kris said they made singing and dancing look effortless. Ai-Ai commended them for their beautiful costumes. FMG said their performance was mesmerizing.
Bughaw Folkloric Dance Group from Mendez, Cavite impressed with their number which highlighted different folk dances of the Philippines. Kris enjoyed the performance especially how the dancers balanced themselves. She felt that it was a tribute to Mindanao. Ai-Ai commended them for being “Pinoy na Pinoy.” FMG, meanwhile, said the performance lacked the drama but it was good over all.
Eumee Lyn Capile sang Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin, exhibiting her vocal prowess on the PGT stage. Kris was happy that Eumee showed how good she was with the low notes but sang the high notes perfectly. Ai-Ai said she was still “boses imported” even if she sang a Tagalog song. FMG fearlessly said that he thinks she will be advancing to the finals.
The ring man Frankendal Fabroa of Tondo, Manila was the fourth to perform. He danced with his ring to the tune of Dance With My Father which, along with the story of his child who died at the age of nine, touched the heart of the judges even more. Kris said she’s happy that his success inspires people. Ai-Ai saw that his performance came from his heart. FMG said he expected more and that there’s nothing new with his performance aside from the extra smaller ring he brought out towards the end.
Car drifters Lateral Drift Productions did their routine flawlessly despite the wet floor because of the recent rain. Kris said the duo took their breaths away. Ai-Ai, who gave them a standing ovation, said she will include them in her next movie. FMG was impressed by the routine.
The last to perform was the dance group D’ Intensity Breakers from Lipa, Batangas. They incorporated fire in their routine which got a standing ovation from Kris and Ai-Ai. Kris said they did not only level up, but their performance was phenomenal as well. Ai-Ai, who is also from Batangas, couldn’t find the words to describe their performance. FMG, another Batangueno, thought the group is going to the finals as well.
