Charice Pempengco has already come out and she’s reportedly feeling “free as a bird” now that she’s not pretending to be someone she’s not.
“I’m able to express myself better now,” Charice told her ninong, columnist Bum Tenorio, who asked where that feeling of freedom comes from . “I have come to accept the real me. I have come to love the real me. I now celebrate the real me.”
Charice celebrated her 21st birthday earlier this month in a resort in Calamba, Laguna. It was attended by 67 guests who were mostly her childhood friends from Cabuyao, Laguna.
It was a debut party of sorts, since she wasn’t able to have a “debut” when she turned 18 because her schedule did not permit it. But instead of wearing a gown, Charice wore pants and long-sleeved shirts.
To those saying that she’s now broke, Charice’s new silver BMW which she reportedly bought in cash seemed to speak for itself. She even said that her family will still be able to eat even if she doesn’t work for ten or more years.
With regards to her international career, she will be back in Los Angeles next month and also soon in Japan for some recording commitments. She will also be doing some shows in Indonesia and Germany, and a guesting on The Ellen DeGeneres show is also possible.
