The MP3 Band got the highest percentage of votes among the first batch of Pilipinas Got Talent 4 semi-finalists, making them automatically advance to the finals.
Getting 25.69% of votes, the three-person band from Davao City was the first of this season’s finalists to be named.
Zilent Overload, Chaeremon Basa and Roel Manlangit had to perform again for the judges’ votes, and in the end, the black light dancers from Pasig and the YouTube sensation from Bukidnon was chosen by Kris Aquino, Ai-Ai delas Alas and Freddie M. Garcia.
Zilent Overload got a unanimous decision from all three judges. Meanwhile, Ai-Ai voted for Chaeremon, the flairtender from Bacolod, but Roel got the votes of Kris and FMG.
The breakdown of votes:
MP3 Band - 25.69%
Roel Manlangit - 20.78%
Chaeremon Basa - 19.50%
Zilent Overload - 17.05%
Aside from Chaeremon, two other acts that didn’t make it were the 54-year-old “quick change” artist Tito Cris Castro from Manila, and the twin dance group Symmetry from Davao.
