Ai-Ai delas Alas has recently applied for police protection from the Philippine National Police (PNP). It was confirmed by Wilhelm Barlis, director of the PNP-Police Security and Protection Group.
The 48-year-old comedienne sought protection in the middle of her controversial separation with Jed Salang, her husband of one month.
Barlis said, however, that the request has not been granted yet. It will only be approved if they proved that there really is a threat against the life of the Pilipinas Got Talent judge.
Ai-Ai and Jed got married on April 3, 2013 in Las Vegas. Ai-Ai revealed in her taped interview with The Buzz last Sunday that she decided to break-up with Jed on May 2 after he physically hurt her.
However, there are rumors that say it was Ai-Ai who first attacked Jed and he only had to defend himself. Moreover, Jed allegedly said that Ai-Ai was so aggressive in bed.
