Annabelle Rama steals the limelight at Dolphy’s wake, attacks reporter with mic stand

Annabelle Rama tried to hit showbiz reporter and columnist Chito Alcid with a microphone stand walking cane at the wake of Dolphy in Heritage Park, Taguig City.

Talent manager Annabelle Rama was caught on video by ABS-CBN’s Bandila while raising her voice and aiming a long black thing, reportedly a mic stand walking cane, to Chito Alcid.

The incident happened inside the dining room of the chapel amidst other guests who were paying their last respects to the Comedy King.

German Moreno was also seen in the video trying to stop Rama. Her husband Eddie Gutierrez was also near her when the incident happened.

Rama left Heritage Park after the incident, then posted on her official Twitter account that her night was ruined and that she lost appetite upon seeing the “fake” gay reporter at the dining.

“1)) Nasira ang gabi ko. nawalan ako ng ganang kumain”

“2) nakita ko yung baklang duwag, fake na reporter sa dining”

ABS-CBN News was able to talk to Chito Alcid after the incident and he said that it was his articles and Facebook posts (which were presumably against Rama’s kids) that allegedly made Rama furious.

“Nag-ugat ‘yan dahil nga yoong mga write-up ko o ‘yong mga Facebook [posts] na sinusulat ko lang ang katotohanan,” Alcid said regarding what happened at the wake. He also added, “Hina-harass n’ya ako.”

Before the incident, though, Rama seemed to be in a good mood when she posted a message on the microblogging site that the food was great at the wake of Dolphy which was being hosted that night by the stars of Sampaguita Pictures. She also said that it was her second night at the wake.

“Nandito ako sa wake ni pareng dolphy.2nd night ko ngayon. Last nyt spons by tv5,ngayon spons ng Sampaguita stars.Sarap ng food.”

The incident drew negative reactions from netizens, most of them saying that it was the most improper place for Annabelle Rama to release her anger against Alcid. A different event, perhaps, should have been okay, but not at the wake of the Philippines’ Comedy King who was well-loved by the people.

Meanwhile, Rama ended her series of tweets by asking for apology to the family of Dolphy.

“To Zsa Zsa and the Quizon family, I am so sorry for what had happened at the dining area of the Heritage. I was provoked by a fake reporter”
