Fifteen days after Dolphy passed away, his family and loved ones will be celebrating his 84th birthday.
Rowell Quizon, one of Dolphy’s grandsons, told Umagang Kay Ganda this morning that their family will celebrate the Comedy King’s birthday at the Heritage Park in Taguig, where his wake was held and where he was laid to rest on July 15.
Rowell also shared that they used to celebrate Dolphy’s birthday at his house every year, and that’s what they miss the most.
“’Yun ang nakaka-miss doon kasi every year sa bahay nya ay sama-sama lahat ng pamilya,” Rowell said. “’Yun ang nakaka-miss sobra... kasi hindi na namin siya mayayakap.”
Meanwhile, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Dolphy’s partner during his last 23 years, told TV5’s Good Morning Club that moving to a new house is not in her immediate plans. She considers the house she shared with Dolphy and their two kids not just a place to stay, but a home that she finds comfort in.
She even shared her wish for Dolphy on his 84th birthday saying, “Sana huwag siyang mabibingi sa mga request namin at mga dasal namin sa kanya. Ang wish ko ay huwag namin abusuhin ang mga request na ito. Baka ang mga saints doon ay kinukulit ni Dolphy.”
