Lucy Torres-Gomez is the star of Benchingko Films’ Star Teacher, a short film produced by Bench as part of its 25th anniversary celebration.
The documentary short is directed by Marla Ancheta and is written by Joey David Tiempo and Abi Capa.
Synopsis:
Join Lucy Torres-Gomez in a travel documentary that brings her back to her beloved hometown, Ormoc. While its tragic history casts a long shadow on the lives of its people, Lucy believes that educating the young about the environment with the help of a puppet show, Ormoc will soon reclaim its verdant past.
Star Teacher and the rest of the Benchingko Films will have a red carpet premiere tonight, 6 PM, at SM Mall Of Asia CenterStage. It can later be viewed at http://www.bench.com.ph/benchingko/.
