Classes from Kindergarten to High School levels in all private and public schools have been suspended for July 30, 2012.
The Department of Education has decided to announce the suspension of classes early because it has been raining hard, specifically in Metro Manila, and some areas are already flooded since Sunday night. Some areas have also been experiencing power failure as early as Sunday night when the wind started howling.
The heavy rains and strong winds were brought about by Tropical Storm Gener. Some provinces in Northern Luzon are already under Public Storm Warning Signal No. 2.
Colleges and universities may contact their school administration or the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) for information regarding the cancellation of classes in their level.
