Julius Babao investigates Eye Bank’s removal of dead teen’s corneas

The Eye Bank Foundation of the Philippines recently got involved in a controversy for allegedly removing the corneas of the slain youth leader Jason Infante without the permission of his family.

Many eyebrows raised when the eye bank’s administration said that they did it in good faith and with utmost respect and care for Jason.

The issue will be investigated by Julius Babao this Monday in ABS-CBN’s XXX. Can these people just get parts of the deceased body even without the family’s consent?

Meanwhile, Pinky Webb looks into the case of a family who is running after the death benefits of their father. After three years, they still haven’t received the necessary amount because BF Insurance Corporation allegedly don’t have sufficient funds.

Anthony Taberna, on the other hand, will probe if the Philippine passports are tamper-proof. Can criminals really fly out of the country just by tampering someone else’s passport and using it as their own?

All that in XXX this Monday, August 20, 2012, right after the late evening news, Bandila, only on ABS-CBN.
