Pepito Manaloto, one of the funniest sitcom produced by GMA-7, is coming back for a second season!
Michael V, who plays the role of Pepito, said that the return of the show is due to public demand.
“Ito kasi ‘yong gusto ng audience so, pinakinggan lang naman namin kung ano ‘yong gusto nila, so ‘yon iyong ibibigay namin,” the ace comedian said.
Michael V also revealed that the sitcom will have a reality show touch in the second season. ”Mas nagmukha siyang reality TV ngayon, kasi sinusundan na talaga sila ngayon ng camera. Parang ‘A Day in the life of Pepito Manaloto.’ Parang ganun na ‘yong mangyayari.”
He also said that he doesn’t consider the sitcom’s comeback on TV as season two because they will be showing a new concept this time. “Huwag niyong asahan ‘yong dati! Hindi siya ‘yong dati. Maaaring binase doon sa dating characters pero ito ‘yong tunay na kwento, at ito ang kwentong dapat marinig niyo. Marami ang dapat abangan sa Pepito Manaloto, kaya’t manood kayo!”
Michael V was so lucky to have a new show following Pare & Pare which ended after just 1 season. He said, however, that it was really planned to run for just 13 episodes. Even Pepito Manaloto’s comeback has also been in the network’s plans all the while.
The comedian can also be seen in the daily noontime show Eat Bulaga! and the Friday night gag show Bubble Gang.
