Khalil Ramos dedicates debut album to his supporters

Khalil Ramos may be enjoying his newfound popularity as an actor but that doesn’t mean that he has neglected his singing career. Recently, the singer-actor has released his self-titled debut album and he’s all excited about it.

Khalil admitted that he was both overwhelmed and happy now that he has a recording album of his own, something that not a lot of new singers are given the opportunity to have.

“I always believed in myself and I did everything and anything that I can to achieve my dreams, and of course with lots and lots of prayers,” the 16-year-old confided, and it could have been the secret to his success.

Released by Star Records, the album is composed of rock and ballad songs, and even if there are revivals, Khalil said that his versions are so far from the original.

Among the songs included in the release are Kung Ako Ba Siya and Now We’re Together, which are both included in the Princess And I soundtrack. His version of I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing, which he sang in Pilipinas Got Talent, is also in the album, plus Kung Ako Na Lang Sana, One More Chance and Simple Lang.

Khalil also said that his album will stand out from the rest because it is a combination of alternative rock and ballad. “Wala pong masyadong alternative rock and ballad na artist sa Pilipinas. Halo po itong album ko na rock and ballad songs.”

He dedicates this new album to the people who have supportive him from the start. “Sa lahat po ng sumusuporta sa akin from the very start of my career, maraming-maraming salamat po! Kung wala po kayo, wala itong album ko! Sana po hindi kayo magsawa sa pagsuporta sa akin. Mahal na mahal ko po kayo! Itong first album ko ay dedicated po para sa inyong lahat!”

Meanwhile, Khalil plays the role of Kiko in the hit Kapamilya primetime series Princess And I. It airs weeknights after TV Patrol on ABS-CBN.
