Allen Jane Sta. Maria sang TLC’s Waterfalls during the Top 9 performance show of The X Factor Philippines. Theme this week is “tribute to late music icons.”
TLC’s Left Eye is already gone so Waterfalls passes as a tribute even if other members of the group are still alive.
Allen Jane Sta. Maria is from the Girls category being mentored by Charice Pempengco.
The judges’ reactions:
Martin Nievera: This is the new Allen. We love it.
Pilita Corales: It’s the first time I see you smile after singing… Parang confident na confident ka ngayon.
Gary Valenciano: This is the Allen that I was waiting for. ‘Yong nakita ko noon… It’s naturally you. Good job.
Charice: Tonight, I did see na ‘yong attitude mo sa stage and everything, this is Allen. Keep it up.
