Francis Magundayao, who charmed everyone as the young Piolo Pascual in the defunct ABS-CBN teleserye Dahil Sa Pag-ibig, will be joining the hit fantaserye Aryana.
Ella Cruz, who played Francis’ onscreen partner as the young Cristine Reyes in Dahil Sa Pag-ibig, has revealed that the young actor’s inclusion in Aryana was due to insistent public demand.
“A lot of fans were requesting to include him in Aryana because they really missed our love team in Dahil sa Pag-ibig,” said Ella, who plays the title role in the primetime series.
Dahil Sa Pag-ibig actually introduced Francis and Ella to tweens and mature audiences. Francis was able to prove that he could act and was in his own right a young leading man that girls could fall in love with. Ella was also able to show her sensitivity as a young actress and it resulted into bagging the lead role in the now hit fantaserye, Aryana.
Ella also confessed that she looks forward in working with Francis again. “I was very excited when they told me that Francis will be part of the story,” the young star said.
She also expressed her admiration in the young actor’s acting abilities. “He is really good in acting. He can make TV viewers cry and fall in love at the same time.”
Francis will be Ella’s third leading man in Aryana after Dom Roque and Paul Salas. When asked who among the three is closest to her, Ella said, “I am close to the three of them. Dom is the one who always gives me advice, while Francis and Paul are my comic buddies. We are already like a barkada because we always bond during tapings.”
