Daddy’s Home, who almost got eliminated last week, picked Whitney Houston’s All At Once to sing during the Top 9 performance show of The X Factor Philippines. The theme for the night was “tribute to late music icons.”
Daddy’s Home, under the Groups category being mentored by Gary Valenciano, gave a very clear rendition of All At Once that we’re not sure if we can say “the original is always better” this time.
The group gave tribute to the late music legend Whitney Houston who died early this year.
Here’s what the judges had to say:
Martin Nievera: That was really, really good. To your mentor, congratulations you are a genius… You proved to us tonight that you really wanna be in this competition. Good job!
Pilita Corales: That’s what I call singing. That’s what I call blending and harmony. That’s what I call singing with the heart. You are honestly amazing.
Charice Pempengco: Tonight ‘yong version n’yo na ‘yong favorite ko. Napakagaling. Congratulations.
Gary: What Daddy’s Home has done tonight hindi lang nag-prove sa lahat pero you have been consistent sa lahat ng mga performances ninyo… It’s never too late to fulfill your dreams.
