“Be Careful With My Heart” contributes to ABS-CBN’s double-digit growth in airtime revenues

Be Careful With My Heart has really turned ABS-CBN’s daytime viewership into an unprecedented success. It has been topping the ratings, beating all other Philippine daytime programs in the process.

Aside from boosting the ratings, the romantic-comedy also contributed to the network’s double-digit growth in airtime revenues that began in August.

“Richard Yap and Jodi Sta. Maria’s soap are turning out to be the biggest surprise hit,” said Vivian Tin, ABS-CBN vice president for research.

A top-rating show also means more advertisers, and according to ABS-CBN chief financial officer Rolando Valdueza, advertising revenues showed signs of strengthening in the second half of the year because of their top-rating shows like Be Careful With My Heart.

“We’re also experiencing double-digit growth in terms of airtime starting August and if we can sustain this by the end of the year, we may exceed P1.3 billion,” Valdueza said.

The network is really on its way to exceeding that mark as Be Careful With My Heart continues to perform better in the national ratings. Kantar Media survey last Thursday (August 16) showed the morning series getting 23% of viewers ratings, topping daytime viewership and ranking fourth overall.

Meanwhile, start your day with that good feeling of being in love via Be Careful With My Heart that airs 10:45 AM, before the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime, on ABS-CBN.
