Marian Rivera was declared FHM Philippines’ Sexiest Woman in the Philippines for 2013 on Thursday through an article posted on the magazine’s website. This is the second time the Kapuso actress won the title, the first being in 2008.
She reportedly got 890,490 votes, beating Sam Pinto who had the title for the past two years. Sam now ranked second with a close 778,681.
The two women “went neck-to-neck and vote-for-vote for a good while” until Marian got a good lead in the last few weeks.
Marian posed for the cover for FHM Ph’s 150th issue last January, her very first cover for a man’s magazine, and I must say it really helped a lot in keeping the votes coming for her.
"Ang saya lang. Hindi ko ini-expect. Yun yung masarap—yung hindi mo ini-expect na mananalo ka tapos ibibigay sayo. Mas masarap kunin ang isang awardna wala kang inaasahan,” said Marian when she learned about the good news Wednesday night via a surprise announcement by FHM.
