The Walang Hanggan episode that featured the rape of Katerina (Julia Montes) by Nathan (Paulo Avelino) not only topped national television ratings but also trended on the microblogging site Twitter.
The episode ranked first in Kantar Media’s overall top 20 programs with its 38.7% national TV rating. Its rival program in GMA-7, Makapiling Kang Muli, only got 16.7%.
Aside from that, the names of Julia and Nathan’s characters became a favorite topic on social networking sites that “Katerina” and “Nathan” made it to the top trending topics list on Twitter.
Upcoming episodes of Walang Hanggan will engage viewers even more especially now that Katerina was able to break free from being held kidnapped by her brother Tomas (Joem Bascon). During last night’s episode, Daniel (Coco Martin) almost saw Katerina when he went to Perla’s (Arlene Muhlach) hometown to look for her. Already feeling unsafe in the area, Katerina planned to hide somewhere else, and Perla said she knows a place where no one will find her.
Recently, pictures of the cast taping in Lignon Hill, Albay spread on Facebook. So we’re guessing Perla brought Katerina to hide in the Bicol region! But then again, Coco and Susan Roces (who plays Lola Henya) were also in the pics so we’re guessing (again) that Daniel was able to follow Katerina in the new hiding place!
