Despite the hard rains and flood in Luzon on August 8th, Pinoys didn't let the opening day of The Bourne Legacy pass. Fact is, the Hollywood movie made a whooping P17.6 million on its first day alone.
Some of the scenes in the movie were shot in the Philippines. A number of Filipino actors even landed bit roles for the Hollywood film.
Some of the said scenes were shown in one of the trailers that featured a rooftop rescue scene. It wasn’t the best part of the country that was shown but I guess they chose to shoot in the Philippines for that slums.
But hey, they also shot scenes in Palawan so they also showed the good places this country has to offer.
The Bourne Legacy, which had its Asian premiere here in the Philippines, is still showing in theaters. If you have money to spare after the calamity that was the Southwest Monsoon, go watch it even if only to see how they featured our country in the story.
