Local government units in specific areas of Metro Manila has already announced Suspension of Classes in their locality for August 2, 2012 due to flood brought about by Typhoon “Gener.”
The following areas with No Classes for August 2 are:
- Navotas City (all levels)
- Malabon City (preschool to high school)
- Dampalit
- Panghulo
- Valenzuela City (preschool to high school)
- A. Deato Elementary School
- A. Fernando Elementary School
- Arkong Bato National High School
- Caruhatan West Elementary School
- Coloong Elementary School
- Dalandanan National High School
- Isla Elementary School
- Karuhatan National High School
- Nuestra Senora De Guia Academy
- P.R. San Diego Elementary School
- Pasolo Elementary School
- Pio Valenzuela Elementary School
- Polo National High School
- Rincon Elementary School
- San Diego Parochial School
- Tagalag Elementary School
- Wawangpulo Elementary School
As with regards to schools in the City of Manila, Mayor Alfredo S. Lim tweeted that the suspension of morning classes will be announced before 4:30 AM, while the suspension of afternoon classes will be made before 11:00 AM. Meanwhile, suspension of classes in private schools is at the discretion of the schools’ administration.
