The singer has recently inked a deal to be a judge in the upcoming season of American Idol, joining her pal Randy Jackson in the panel.
Mariah replace the seat left by Jennifer Lopez who was a judge for two seasons. Steven Tyler also left but no replacement for him has been announced yet.
