Tom Rodriguez is making a big career move by transferring from ABS-CBN to GMA-7.
Tom will be part of the upcoming Kapuso series My Husband's Lover which has an adult theme. He will be playing the role of the bisexual husband of Carla Abellana, and the lover of Dennis Trillo's gay character.
Tom is one of the two rumored Kapamilya actors who auditioned for the role, and he luckily got the part over the other actor whose name hasn't been revealed.
He is part of the still ongoing daytime romantic comedy series, ABS-CBN's Be Careful With My Heart as the "love team" of Aiza Seguerra's character. I guess it won't overlap with his Kapuso series because it won't air until June, the same month that the Kapamilya daytime series is also rumored to end.
Tom's television career started when he became one of the housemates of ABS-CBN's Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up in 2009. He was, afterwards, given acting breaks by the network, the most notable of which was his character in Angelito: Batang Ama. His said role in My Husband's Lover, meanwhile, could be his biggest television break so far.
