Korina Sanchez will not be doing her DZMM radio program, Rated Korina, starting Monday, January 6, 2014, to apparently make time to finish her masteral degree in London. Her 10:00 AM timeslot will be taken over by Sakto, hosted by Amy Perez and Marc Logan.
The broadcast journalist has made quite a bad impression recently when she bashed CNN reporter Anderson Cooper for his coverage of super typhoon Yolanda aftermath in Tacloban. According to Korina, Anderson does not know what he's saying when he reported that there was no government presence in the area five days after it was devastated by the storm. The bashing came back to her, however, because the CNN reporter did not say such words.
After that controversy, Korina was not seen live in her radio program and in the ABS-CBN evening news, TV Patrol. Rumors started to spread that her absence was due to the fact that she was suspended by the network for her baseless criticism of the CNN reporter.
She denied it, however, saying she was not seen live because she was visiting the devastated areas of Visayas for her other show, Rated K.
If reports regarding her masteral in London were true, then it could be that she is also leaving TV Patrol (where she is not seen for quite a number of episodes now) and Rated K.
Meanwhile, Rated K is being moved to a later timeslot beginning Jan. 5 to make way for the new sitcom, Home Sweetie Home, that stars Toni Gonzaga and John Lloyd Cruz.
Could it be that the network is just airing the already taped episodes of the show before it eventually goes off air as The Voice of the Philippines or Pinoy Big Brother begins?
