Marian Rivera is Vietnam’s Best Foreign Artist of the Year

Marian Rivera was recently honored with a Best Foreign Artist of the Year award in Vietnam.

The Kapuso actress revealed the news on Instagram Thursday morning by thanking her Vietnamese audience.

“My most gracious thanks to the Vietnamese audience for giving me the honor of being your Best Foreign Artist of the Year. It means so much to me that the Vietnamese have enjoyed my performances and my work. I will always strive to be even better to deserve your support. Hen Gap Cac ban... To I - Yu Cac Ban Vietnam,” she said in the caption of the photo above.

Marian went to Vietnam last November, granting the request of SNTV and Today TV for her to visit the country where her television series Marimar and Dyesebel became a big hit when it was aired over there. Her teleserye, Temptation of Wife, was airing (and also a big hit) when she paid the country a visit.

She was mobbed by fans, and she couldn’t believe that she has a lot of Vietnamese supporters. She thought she would be visiting Vietnam-based Pinoy fans but was surprised to learn that she has indeed Vietnamese followers.

Congrats, Marian! This new award is definitely an added feather to your cap. And here’s hoping that your upcoming primetime series, Carmela, opposite Alden Richards will also be a big hit not only in the Philippines but also abroad.
