Anne Curtis wants to be the best Dyesebel

Anne Curtis cried when she was presented by ABS-CBN as the new Dyesebel on Thursday. She said she is very thankful that the network still has faith in her despite the controversy she got herself into last year.

Since that slapping incident in an exclusive club that involved actor John Lloyd Cruz and his friends, it was also the first time that Anne faced that much press people.

When asked by the press why she was crying, Anne said those were tears of joy.

"Overwhelmed kasi it's my first appearance after everything," she said, as quoted by abs-cbnnews.com. "It gives me tears of joy na 2014 pala is a great year. It's a great way na masimulan mo ang 2014 na ikaw si Dyesebel."

She arrived back to the Philippines just last Tuesday after a holiday trip abroad. She made her first 2014 appearance as an It's Showtime host on Wednesday, the same day she was informed that the Kapamilya Network chooses her to play the mermaid role.

When asked if she's willing to sacrifice her other projects if Dyesebel would demand most of her time, she said she'd do what she could so she wouldn't have to drop anything.

"If kayang pagsabayin ay kakayanin," she said. "Kung gusto mo naman ang isang bagay and you love what you do, kakayanin naman 'yon."

The actress-host also has a message to all the fans who supported her through her ups and downs.

"Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng aking followers, sa lahat ng mga tagasubaybay at sa lahat ng madlang people who have the kind of faith in me, sobrang salamat po. Sa ups and downs, you guys have been there for me so maraming, maraming salamat. For 2014, I promise to do my best to be the best Dyesebel for you."

Dyesebel will reportedly air this summer.
