Marian Rivera just shrugged off the issue that the competition between her and Angel Locsin will spark anew with the premiere of both their primetime television series on Monday January 27, 2014.
The Kapuso Primetime Queen is the lead star of GMA-7’s Carmela: Ang Pinakamagandang Babae Sa Mundong Ibabaw, while Angel topbills ABS-CBN’s The Legal Wife.
“Ay, wala namang kumpetisyon para sa akin,” Marian told the press during the grand launch of Carmela on Friday, as quoted by pep.ph. “Kung sa kanila, e, may kumpetisyon, irerespeto natin ‘yun. Pero as long as masaya ka sa totoong buhay mo, doon ako. E, ako, masaya ‘ko sa totoong buhay ko. ‘Yun ang reyalidad.”
They couldn’t help being compared, though, because they are two prized possessions of the rival TV networks. Also, the fans couldn’t help but to stand up for their idols when they hear something bad from the other camp.
It would be good, though, if the two series would be put on the same time slots. That’s when we’ll get to see which of the two teleseryes will do better when it comes to the ratings.
Carmela also stars Alden Richards as Marian’s leading man for the first time.
The Legal Wife, meanwhile, also has Jericho Rosales, Maja Salvador and JC De Vera.
