Vice will continue to host It's Showtime and Gandang Gabi Vice, plus he will reportedly be given another program by the network.
Present at the contract signing were the network's broadcast head Cory Vidanes, chairman Gabby Lopez, Vice, president and CEO Charo Santos-Concio, TV production head Laurenti Dyogi, and business unit head Deo Endrinal.
Meanwhile, Vice denied that there was ever a misunderstanding between him and Kris Aquino because their movies were rivals at the recent Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). Kris was in the cast of the top-grosser My Little Bossings while Vice was the lead star of the second top-grosser Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy. Vice shared that the two of them exchanged messages even when Kris was in London with his sons over the holidays, so he didn't feel any tension between them.
"Nung nandun siya sa London nag-te-text pa rin kami. Tinext nga niya ako, 'I just bought you a pair of Loubotins.' Sabi ko, 'Ay thank you!' tapos sabi niya, 'May gift ka ba sa akin?' Sabi ko, 'Wala pa eh, ano bang gusto mo?' tapos hindi na siya sumagot. Sabi ko tuloy, 'Hindi ka na sumagot, siguro hindi mo na ibibigay sa akin gift ko kasi wala pa akong gift para sa iyo,' tapos tumawa siya. Sobrang okay kami," he said.
He added, however, that Kris perhaps felt a little bad because of his jokes during the ABS-CBN Christmas special.
"Siguro siya nagtampo siya ng slight kasi niloko-loko ko siya sa Christmas special pero hindi din eh kasi nag-uusap pa rin kami ng regular eh," he said.
Meanwhile, the comedian shared that he will be doing a couple of movies this year, he just doesn't know if one of them will be an MMFF entry come December.
"Of course I will be doing another movie. A movie or two this year pero hindi ko pa alam kung ano. Pero I want to offer something new to the public. Hindi ko alam kung film fest. Yung first movie parang hindi muna film fest. Ewan ko kung meron pa rin akong entry next year," he said.
