CCTV footage matches Vhong Navarro's statement

The detailed confession of Vhong Navarro in Buzz Ng Bayan last Sunday matches the CCTV footage acquired by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) from the condo unit in Taguig where the mauling incident happened.

According to Vhong, he went to the condo that January 22 evening and took the elevator up to the floor where Deniece Cornejo's unit was. The 22-year-old model was there to meet him when he got off the elevator, after which they went inside the unit.

Part of the CCTV footage shown by the NBI to the media matched Navarro's statements, even the part of Cornejo immediately leaving the condo and Cedric Lee and his men going inside only minutes after Navarro arrived.

The rape part, then, didn't happen.

According to Lee during an interview with the media on Monday, he caught Navarro in the act of raping Cornejo, reason why he had to beat him up.

Cornejo also said Monday that the comedian-TV host indeed tried to rape her.

But how could she be raped when she left Navarro inside her unit almost as soon as he arrived?

Meanwhile, among the reported legal charges that the It's Showtime host filed against Cornejo, Lee and his sister Bernice, and several others who were part of the mauling include serious illegal detention, serious physical injuries, grave coercion, grave threat, and unlawful arrest.
