After a long guessing game on who will play the role of Dyesebel in the ABS-CBN television production of the Mars Ravelo classic, Anne Curtis confirmed in a press conference on Thursday, January 9, 2014, that she bagged the role!
The name of the It's Showtime host was one of the few that has been rumored to play the role since the Kapamilya Network acquired the rights to the title together with 12 other Ravelo classics.
Kim Chiu was recently rumored to have bagged the role but reports came out Wednesday saying it wasn't her.
Meanwhile, Anne will be joined in the much-anticipated series by actors Sam Milby and Gerald Anderson as her leading men.
Anne just got back to the country on Tuesday from a short holiday vacation abroad. She made her first 2014 appearance as It's Showtime host the day after.
The actress revealed that it was also only yesterday when she received the offer to play the role. Sam and Gerald, on the other hand, reportedly learned about their roles two days ago.
Describing playing Dyesebel as another dream come true, Anne said that she would do everything just to be able to give justice to the role.
On how she was chosen, Dreamscape Entertainment TV AdProm head Biboy Arboleda said that they ran marketing surveys among different platforms and Anne topped the list.
