Award-winning actress Aiko Melendez will star in the upcoming family drama of ABS-CBN’s “Maalaala Mo Kaya.”
In the Raz de la Torre-directed episode, Aiko will play the role of Gloria, a devoted mother who was forced to abandon her kids to work in another town.

Together with Aiko in the upcoming “MMK” episode are Sharlene San Pedro, Maliksi Morales, John Manalo, Ces Quesada, Cris Villanueva, Daisy Reyes, Amy Nobleza, Dexie Daulat and Tata Mara. The episode this Saturday (January 18) is written by Benson Logronio and Arah Jell Badayos, and researched by Mae Rose Balanay.
