Deniece Cornejo wants to keep family's privacy

The family of Deniece Cornejo is in full support of her despite the fact that we don't see them with her on television.

According to Cornejo's lawyer, Atty. Howard Calleja, it's his client's choice to keep the privacy of her family.

"She requested us to keep this private, to keep the privacy of the family. And that request, we accede to that," he said, also explaining that Cornejo's father is an OFW and some members of the family are here while some are also abroad.

The 22-year-old model hit the headlines and became a favorite subject of discussion for being involved in the mauling of comedian-TV host Vhong Navarro. She cried rape, while the actor said she was part of a group that beat him up and tried to extort money from him.

CCTV videos provided by the Forbeswood Heights coincide with the statements of Navarro and there's no way that he could have been caught by Cedric Lee and company in the act of raping Cornejo on the night of January 22, if we would base things on the said videos.

Lee, together with his group of about 8 men, tied, blindfolded and beat up Navarro because they allegedly caught him naked on top of Cornejo who was screaming and trying to get free. It was, however, denied by Navarro saying Cornejo left him inside the condo unit immediately after he got in, something that the CCTV videos also show.
