Luis Manzano said he was shocked and he felt like he's watching TGIS when he read about Angel Locsin's confession that she's still in love with him.
Angel made the revelation during the press conference of her upcoming series, The Legal Wife, last Wednesday.
"Mukha nga akong nanonood ng TGIS," Luis said, as quoted by spot.ph. "Kinikilig [ako] nung nabasa ko eh," he said. TGIS is a defunct teen-oriented program of GMA-7.
According to the Minute To Win It host, he and Angel were able to talk over the holidays, and they were able to talk about what really happened that caused their break-up four years ago.
He clarified, though, that they only started to talk after they have broken up with their respective exes. It may seem intriguingly coincidental, but Luis confirmed his break-up with Jennylyn Mercado last October, after Angel confirmed her break-up with Phil Younghusband earlier that month.
"People may think kasi na before pa nag-uusap kami when we had our respective love lives. Hindi. Hindi kami nagkita. Hindi kami nagusap. Nothing at all. Sa tinagal tagal na may kanya-kanya kaming love life," he said.
But since Angel has already revealed that she's still in love with Luis, does he feel the same way towards the actress?
"Mahal ko naman si Angel, definitely. Especially nga itong nangyari nung Christmas and New Year’s parang everything has been rekindled. It’s so hard to put it into words. Pero let the smiles on our faces, well for her case the tears on her eyes, speak on our behalf," he said.
It seems like their love story will have a part two. Luis, however, said they are taking things step by step.
"I guess iisa naman ‘yung gusto namin sana na mangyari so hopefully, step by step. At least it’s open na kung paano kami ni Angel sa isa’t-isa; kung ano ang nararamdaman namin ngayon sa isa’t-isa," he said.
