Vhong Navarro's manager, Chito Roño, said the actor-TV host is traumatized and still afraid to be alone.
Navarro has stayed in the hospital since after he was mauled at the Forbeswood Heights on the evening of January 22. He has already undergone reconstructive surgery to fix his broken nose; he is already healing physically, but the trauma is still there. He now always wants to be with friends.
"Physically he is getting better," Roño said in his DZMM interview on Friday. "Siguro I would say may moments pa siyang nararamdaman niya yung trauma niya. Natatakot pa din siyang mag-isa. Gusto niya may kaibigan palagi siyang kasama, kausap."
The manager said further that the actor's friends and family always pay a visit, aside from his sons.
Navarro previously said that he wants to protect his children because his maulers threatened to kill them if ever he speaks out about what happened.
The It's Showtime host is still under observation, especially his head.
"Siyempre it's under observation, mayroon siyang bagong iniindang sakit sa gilid so the doctor went yesterday to look at it also. We've been advised 'yung sa head to check it thoroughly, mas magandang ngayon pa lang matingnan na kung may namaga sa brain niya mismo," Roño said.
Meawhile, the manager said Navarro is quiet about the rape charges Deniece Cornejo filed against him.
"Hindi siya masalita, alam naman niya, sinasabi din niya 'yung totoo so hindi ko mararamdaman kung ano ang nararamdaman niya," Roño said.
It was in Cornejo's condo unit where Navarro got mauled by Lee and his group. According to the comedian, he went there because it was supposed to be his and Cornejo's second date. The 22-year-old model, however, left him at the unit immediately after he arrived. He then saw Lee and others who pointed a gun at him, tied him up, blindfolded him, beat him up, removed his pants to camcord his private part, and tried to extort money from him.
Lee and Cornejo, meanwhile, had a different story. Navarro allegedly tried to rape Cornejo but was caught by Lee in the act, naked on top of the screaming Cornejo, that's why they mauled him.
The CCTV videos provided by the condo to NBI, however, coincide with Navarro's claims.
