In a letter, Lourd de Veyra said that while he is a Vic Sotto fan, he did not get his money’s worth when he paid P220 to watch the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) top-grosser My Little Bossings.
As a lot of those who watched the movie noticed, Lourd also criticized the number of product placements in the movie.
He also described the storyline as hard to swallow and, again, not worth his P220.
He, however, said that the movie’s saving grace was the child star Ryzza Mae Dizon (who he said lacked exposure in the movie), Aiza Seguerra, and Vic himself for being a natural comedian.
He also hit on Bimby Yap’s inability to act, hoping that he would be good in basketball just like his dad James when he grows up.
The letter calls the attention of Vic to make a worthwhile movie to give back to the Filipino people who have supported him for decades now. He even cited Eat Bulaga!’s Lenten Specials as example that Vic can do other than “cheap” movies.
To whom much is given, much is required, ika nga ng Bibliya.
