85th Academy Awards (2013) - List of Nominees

The nominees for the 85th Academy Awards were announced Thursday morning by Emma Stone and this year’s host Seth MacFarlane in Beverly Hills.

85th Oscars (2013) Nominees

Nine films are competing for Best Picture, including Argo which recently bagged the same award at the recently-held Critics’ Choice Movie Awards.

Anne Hathaway, CCMA’s Best Supporting Actress for her Les Miserables role, is also in the same category for the same movie at the Academy Awards.

Meanwhile, Adele’s Skyfall theme song with the same title is nominated for Best Original Song (the song also won CCMAs, by the way). Upon receiving the news, the British singer immediately tweeted that the nomination made her feel like she’s Meryl Streep.
